Darla Smoking is a band that translates field-sourced traditional music into dub bass beats. Their sound is a solid dub-based music entity that fuses contemporaneity and folk heritage with tradition. In addition, Darla Smoking represents the voice of the myriads from around the globe – alternatively dark and cool dancey blend of dub, electronica, ethno and world music.

David Jagodic

Slovenian Tenor, David Jagodic made his home in Vienna and is emerging as one of the most versatile and exciting young tenors. He finished his Bachelor studies by prof. Claudia Visca in 2015 and his Masters in Song and Oratorium by prof. KS Robert Holl in 2018, both with distinctions from the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. He gave his operatic debut in 2012 at the Sommerfestival OperOderSpree and has since embodied numerous main roles in European opera houses. Amongst them: Don Jose (Carmen, Bizet), Tamino (Die Zauberflöte, Mozart), Lensky (Yevgény Onégin, Tschaikovsky), Fenton (Falstaff, Verdi), Don Ottavio (Don Giovanni, Mozart), Ferrando (Cosi fan Tutte, Mozart), Simon (Der Bettelstudent, Milocker), Knusperhexe (Hänsel u. Gretel, Humperdinck), Wüsterich (Tulifant, von Einem) and many more. He sang concerts in Musikverein Wien, Berliner Philharmonie, Konzerthaus Wien, Schubertiade Schwarzenberg, Bolshoi Theater Minsk, with concert performances of Bach (Johannes Passion, Weihnachtsoratorium, Magnificat), Händel (Samson, Messias), Mozart(Requiem), Verdi (Requiem), Mendelssohn (Elias, Lobgesang), Beethoven (9th Symphonie)… His mentors are: Piotr Beczala, Michael Schade, Irina Gavrilovici.

Die Alpenoberkrainer

Die Alpenoberkrainer (Slovenian: Alpski kvintet) was founded in 1966 in Kranj, where the quintet gave their first public concert. Shortly afterwards the ensemble received their first invitation to appear abroad, in the French region of Alsace. To date, the ensemble’s records have sold more than one million copies. In 1996, Die Alpenoberkrainer officially disbanded as a professional music band at a gala concert in Mengeš and currently appear unofficially.
