Throughout the forty years of its continuous operation, the Nova Gorica Cultural Centre has established itself as an important concert venue in the region, Slovenia and beyond. Besides the classical music concert season, the institution's flagship, the Cultural Centre’s musical programme includes diverse series, festivals and cross-border collaborations. Most notably: Music from the Gardens of St. Francis, which takes place in spring in the beautiful surroundings of the Kostanjevica Franciscan monastery in Nova Gorica; Castle Harmonies, three nights of chamber and solo music at Kromberk Castle; the International Saxophone Meeting in Slovenia – SAXGO Festival, which biannually hosts the International Saxophone Competition in Slovenia, as well as workshops and master classes with renowned saxophone educators and musicians; the October Jazz Festival, a cross-border cooperation with the Controtempo Society's Jazz & Wine Festival in Cormons (Italy); and other non-subscription concerts. The Oton Župančič Library is the largest unit of the City Library of Ljubljana and is located in the city center. The premises of the former department store were converted into a library in 2006. Today, more than 300,000 units of material and corners for learning, reading, events, exhibitions and education are available to users on four floors. Park Theatre, formerly Park Cinema, is a theatre located next to Murska Sobota’s town park. The modernist single-storey building was designed by architect Franc Novak and built in 1951. The venue first functioned as a cinema, but was forced out of business due to arrival of the town’s multiplex cinema in the early 21st century. During renovations, Park Cinema was redesigned as a theatre and now hosts diverse cultural events. Location: Murska Sobota

Patriot Youth Centre provides a venue for concerts, theatre performances, photo and art exhibitions and diverse workshops. Much more than a hang out, Patriot engages young people who frequent the venue in various activities organised by the youth centre, thus providing them with informal education and opportunities to participate in international projects, as well as encouraging active citizenship. Located in the heart of the historic town centre, Peč Teahouse (Stove Tearoom) leads a somewhat secluded and hidden existence. Occupying the premises of former prisons, the tearoom is a great place to cool off on hot summer days and shelter from the cold wind sweeping the town streets in winter. The venue hosts concerts and exhibitions. On summertime weekends, its outdoor stage features live-music acts. All events are free of charge. Location: Slovenj Gradec
