DJ Dojaja made his debut in 1995 as a resident DJ of the club Palma. Soon after his debut, DJ Umek invited him to collaborate together with DJ Bizzy. They first formed as Absense team and later renamed as Consumer Recreation. They performed in the renowned club K4 and the club Propaganda. He also performed with the live act group Rotor, Temponauta and Ago Tela and was one of the main founders of the “Chilli space” events, dedicated to the ambient music. Currently he is a member of the trio Niplodok.

As a child, he played the recorder, then switched to the cello, until at the age of thirteen he found his true instrument – drums. He was particularly drawn to jazz, which he was introduced to by Professor Adam Klemm. After enrolling at KGBL, he continued his studies at CODARTS in Rotterdam, where he graduated in 2020, and then pursued a master’s degree at the Amsterdam Conservatory. He currently lives and creates in Amsterdam, collaborating with numerous musicians. At this year’s Ljubljana Jazz Festival, he is presenting his original project Introducing Domen Cizej, a set of five albums with different ensembles.

Slovenian baritone Domen Križaj graduated in music and medicine from the University of Ljubljana, and was selected for the Salzburg Festival’s Young Singers Project. He was member of Theater Basel’s OperAvenir Plus studio in the 2017/2018 and 2018/2019 seasons. As a concert vocalist Domen Križaj regularly performs with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and Camerata Salzburg. He has won many competitions and has been member of Theater Basel’s opera ensemble since the 2019/2020 season.

An early music specialist with considerable professional experience, Domen Marinčič regularly performs with Slovenian and international ensembles. He is co-founder of the musica cubicularis early music ensemble and the Harmonia Antiqua Labacensis Institute, artistic director of the Radovljica Festival, and curator of the Harmonia Concertans concert series. Doman Marinčič also devotes his time to giving lectures and teaching.

Dominik Jakšič is active in different fields: creative – as composer, music publicist, pedagogue and organizer; and performing – as conductor and pianist. He is conductor of Academic Choir Celje. Dominik served three years as an artistic director of festival Music afternoon with Anton Lajovic. Dominik’s compositions have been performed on many stages in Slovenia and across Europe. Opus includes many works, from lieders, chamber music, piano compositions, concertos, to choral and orchestral works, two cantatas and scenic music.

Young Slovenian conductor Dominik Steklasa (1989) studied Orchestral conducting and Composition at the Ljubljana Academy of Music. After he finished studying at the academy he went on to study the conducting technique of the legendary Russian conducting teacher Ilya Musin with the world-renowned conducting teacher Maestro Ennio Nicotra. Despite his young age, Dominik has conducted many successful concerts abroad. His artistic and working mind set is: ‘’Conductor is a director of sound. And his stage is the Orchestra.’’

The Domžale – Kamnik Symphony Orchestra was established in 1971. It comprises amateur musicians, students and teachers of regional music schools, as well as professional musicians. The orchestra, whose repertoire predominantly includes classical music and occasionally film, popular and sacred music, performs several annual concerts. Each season is crowned with the orchestra’s traditional New Year’s Concert modelled after the world-famous concerts of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra.
