Španski borci Culture Centre

Venue

Španski borci Culture Centre (Spanish Fighters) is one of Ljubljana’s main cultural institutions. The building – a post-war architectural gem – was designed by a leading post-war Slovenian architect, Oton Jugovec. It was built in 1981 and forms part of Slovenia’s twentieth-century architectural heritage. After its renovation in 2009, management of the quietly elegant building was taken over by the EN-KNAP Institute. The Španski borci Culture Centre offers rental spaces suitable for cultural, educational, social and other events. Location: Ljubljana

Špital za prjatle

A tavern, cultural venue and meeting place for artists working in different genres. Špital za prjatle (An Almshouse for Friends) also hosts concerts. Location: Celje

Tracing its variegated history back to 1835, Švicarija served as a popular guesthouse, café and hotel, and a venue for a rich cultural and social life. Today, this tradition continues with the renovated Creative Centre whose special attraction is the magnificent view across the city from the beautiful setting of Tivoli Park gardens.
