Irena Grafenauer completed her studies in 1975 in Ljubljana, and further improved her skills with two solo flutists at the Berlin Philharmonic, Karlheinz Zöller in Hamburg and Aurèl Nicolet in Freiburg. As the first woman in history and also a foreigner, in 1977 she made her way to the soloist position of one of the best German and world orchestras, the Bavarian Radio Orchestra, which was then conducted by the renowned permanent conductors Rafael Kubelik and Sir Colin Davis. She continued her artistic career as a top soloist and a teacher, since 1987 she has been a full professor of flute at the Mozarteum College of Music in Salzburg. Irena Tomažin is a vocalist, dancer, performance artist and postgraduate student in philosophy. She regularly teaches voice workshops in Ljubljana and abroad.

A graduate of the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, mezzo-soprano Irena Yebuah Tiran regularly performs in concert venues at home and abroad. She has premiered numerous new Slovenian compositions and operas and also devotes her time to teaching.
