The type of jazz music that Jazz Cerkno offers is never obvious, since the programme focuses on unconventional and creative tones, on the collision of cultures and their musical practices, as well as the meshing of different approaches, with which jazz usually seeps into other genres. Rock, electronic, early and contemporary classical music, experimental and traditional ethnic idioms are thus interlaced with jazz music.
