Tinkara Kovač

Artist

Since 1996 Tinkara has given over 1000 concerts in Slovenia, Croatia, Austria and Italy with many different ensembles. Among her most important international collaborations on stage and in studio are with Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull), Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin), Carlos Nunez (TheChieftans), Dan Lavery (Tonic), Massima Bubolo, Kati Garbi and Paul Millns. Recently, she has took part in the recording of a new studio album by the cult Italian band Litfiba.

Tjaša Fabjančič

Artist

Slovenian singer, composer, and lyricist Tjaša Fabjančič lives in Graz, Austria. She studied Jazz singing at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz and at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. A multiple finalist of the Jazzon composition award, she received 1st prize at the 2009 Jazzon award, for her composition ‘Smeh in solze’ [Laughter and Tears]. Her jazz line-up, Playgrounds, won several European jazz competitions.

Tom Varl

Artist

Tom Varl (1998) began studying at KGBL in 2013 and later took up solo singing and conducting. In 2017, he started composition studies at the Ljubljana Academy of Music under Vito Žuraj. He leads the Ivan Cankar vocal group and has conducted various ensembles. In 2019, he entered choral conducting studies and competed at Aegis carminis. He teaches solfeggio and works as a ballet accompanist at KGBL since 2020.

Tomaž Gajšt

Artist

Tomaž Gajšt is a Slovenian trumpet virtuoso and a key member of the RTV Slovenia Big Band. He has collaborated with artists like Marko Črnčec, Robert Jukič, Kristijan Krajnčan, and Nina Strnad. In April 2024, he released his debut solo album with arrangements by Lojze Krajnčan. With over 50 recorded albums, he studied at the Gustav Mahler Private University for Music and continues to perform actively in jazz and contemporary music scenes.

Tomaž Grom

Tomaž Grom is a double bassist, electronic musician, composer, producer, educator, and researcher. He has performed across Europe and North America and composed for theatre, dance, puppetry, and film. He founded and directs Institute Sploh. He plays in groups like Tomažin/Grom, Samo Gromofon, Šalter Ensemble, Oholo!, and Kaučič/Grom, and collaborates with musicians such as Samo Kutin, Vid and Jošt Drašler, Irena Z. Tomažin, and others.

Tomaž Hostnik

Artist

Tomaž Hostnik is a singer-songwriter, poet, and visual artist. He has written over a hundred songs, performed with Vudlenderji, Drajnarjuva vampa, and Hostnik pa Krečič, and composed music for film and theater. He has won multiple awards, including the Golden Kanta (Kantfest), Best Lyrics (Popevka 2019, 2021), and Best Music (Festival of Slovenian Chanson 2023). He holds a master’s degree in piano from Linz and teaches at the Škofja Loka Music School.

Tomaž Močilnik

After graduating from the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz under Gerald Pachinger, Tomaž Močilnik passed the audition to train in the orchestral academy programme of the Berlin State Opera under Daniel Barenboim. For two years Tomaž had the privilege of gaining experience of orchestral playing and work alongside some of today’s most famous conductors and soloists. Since September 2016 Tomaž has been principal clarinet in the Frankfurt Radio Symphony, an orchestra enjoying high international esteem and holding concerts worldwide.

Tomaž Sevšek

Artist

Organist Tomaž Sevšek gives recitals at home and abroad. He regularly performs with the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra and – as a harpsichordist – with the Chamber Orchestra of the Slovenian Philharmonic. He is a founding member of Musica Cubicularis, an early music ensemble, and the Harmonia Antiqua Labacensis Institute.

Tomaž Svete

Slovenian composer and professor of composition at the Faculty of Education in Maribor, Tomaž Svete divides his time between Vienna and Maribor. Svete has produced an impressive operatic output and established himself as Slovenia’s most prominent living opera composer.

Tomi Purich

Artist

Tomi Purich, a drummer from the Slovenian Coast and a graduate of the Carinthian State Conservatory in Klagenfurt, is known as the leader of the festival band Melodij morja in sonca and as a backing musician for Jan Plestenjak, Nina Pušlar, and Lea Sirk. With his debut album #balkanjazz, released at the end of last year, he presents a blend of Balkan, Istrian, and Oriental melodies with an ethno-jazz sound. The album includes folk arrangements, original compositions, and popular songs, connecting traditional Balkan, Oriental, and Istrian motifs with jazz improvisation. Tomi Purich’s trio presented the album during a tour across Slovenia in January 2019.
