The Sajeta Creative Camp was launched in 1998 as the first festival organised in Tolmin’s Sotočje, a venue at the confluence of two rivers. Celebrating its 20th anniversary in early July 2019, the festival provides a platform for interaction among diverse creative practices and experiences of music as its main focus. The Seviqc Brežice Festival has become the Slovenian synonym for early music. Since the establishment of the International Summer Academy for Early Music in the town of Radovljica in 1982, which stimulated a comprehensive development of early music in Slovenia and is regarded as its beginning, the festival has strengthened its reputation as an event of national importance. The Seviqc Brežice concert programme presents the wealth of the musical heritage of Europe and beyond, ranging from the Middle Ages to the beginning of the 20th century, using authentic period instruments and an historically informed approach.
