After years of efforts to formulate a consistent cultural, educational and entertainment programme in the Koroška (Carinthia) region, the Carinthian Youth Cultural Centre Kompleks was finally established several years ago by the Club of Carinthian Students. Kompleks includes a multi-purpose hall that seats 100 people and has 250 standing-room spaces. It can function as a concert venue, meeting room or a dance hall, TV studio and the like. Installed to improve music delivery and bring maximum enjoyment to both artists and listeners, the venue’s advanced sound system provides an enhanced experience to performers and concert-goers alike. After a seven-year hiatus, the renovated Kolnkišta (Coal Bunker) was re-opened in October 2012. In its golden days, the place was hugely popular among young people as Ptuj’s top venue and soon after its establishment acquired the reputation of an unforgettable 'Bunker' for entertainment and great concerts. Kosovel House of Culture Sežana is an arts centre primarily focused on presenting cultural events. Its vast premises make Kosovelov dom an ideal venue for music concerts and theatre performances, film screenings, exhibitions and multi-media events, whilst also providing facilities for congresses and other meetings. The largest youth organisation in the Municipality of Kamnik, Kotlovnica plays a significant part in young people’s leisure time. The centre’s broader perspective is to increase involvement of young people and youth work in the community. The Križanke summer theatre is managed by the Festival Ljubljana. Formerly the oldest monastery in the city belonging to the Order of the Teutonic Knights, the venue was renovated following the plans of architect Jože Plečnik in 1950. Križanke outdoor theatre is considered to be one of the most beautiful and acoustic open-air venues in Slovenia. The big stage with an orchestra pit is suitable for various theatre-music productions (operas, operettas, ballets, etc.), symphony concerts, theatre productions, as well as pop and jazz concerts. Krško Culture House is a public institution operating in the cultural sphere whose activities include holding exhibitions on various topics, organising non-subscription theatre and music productions, programming subscription series for children and adults, producing arts and cultural, educational and other events, serving as an agency for cultural events that are self-produced or produced by other cultural organisations or individual culture professionals, etc. Location: Krško
