Yoko Nono

Yoko Nono is a Slovenian band formed from late-night gatherings and discussions about life and music. The lineup includes Blaž Horvat (drums), Klemen Mlinar and Mark Žakelj (guitars), Nejc Klun (bass), and Žan Koprivec Perjet (vocals, songwriting). Their music blends sincere lyrics with engaging melodies. They debuted with Se ti zdi and gained attention by filling Orto Bar. Other tracks like Kim and Tvoj Kreten further solidified their presence in the Slovenian scene.

Zablujena generacija

Artist

Zablujena generacija is a Slovenian punk rock band from Idrija, formed in 1994. Influenced by Ramones and Sex Pistols, they gained popularity with albums like Fajht (1997), Pank zabloda (1998), and Pozitiv vabrejšan (2001), the latter achieving gold status. Known for energetic performances and socially charged lyrics, they participated in EMA 2007, placing third. In 2023, they resumed performing after the passing of guitarist Matjaž “Ramon” Alič.

Zajtrk is a Slovenian ethno-chanson duo formed by violinist and vocalist Laura Krajnc and guitarist/vocalist Sven Horvat. Their music blends folk, ethno, cabaret, chanson, jazz, and rock into a strong alternative singer-songwriter expression. Zala Smolnikar - Zali

Artist

Zala Smolnikar, also known as ZÁLI, is a Slovenian singer, pianist, and songwriter. She gained initial recognition through the show Slovenija ima talent and has since performed at major Slovenian venues such as Festival Lent, Cankarjev dom, and Kongresni trg. In 2022, she participated in EMA with her song “V ogledalu.” Zala graduated in singing from the Gustav Mahler University in Austria and is currently working on her debut album "V trenutku". Her music blends pop with elements of jazz and soul, characterized by emotional depth and vibrant energy.  

zalagasper

zalagasper is a Slovenian musical project from Maribor, initially formed in 2018 as a duo by vocalist Zala Kralj and multi-instrumentalist Gašper Šantl. They gained international recognition representing Slovenia at Eurovision 2019 with the song “Sebi,” finishing 15th. Their music blends indie pop, lo-fi, and minimalistic styles. In 2023, Zala Kralj left the project to pursue university studies, and Gašper Šantl continues Zalagasper as a solo act.

CONA Institute for the Processing of Contemporary Art is a non-profit cultural institution based in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The zone was founded in 2007 by Irena Pivka and Brane Zorman. The zone processes contemporary artistic practices in conjunction with society, technology and space. In 2008, Cona created the radioCona platform for the creation and promotion of radioart and soundart works, and raised the issue of a new exhibition concept. The projects and events of the Zone are intended for the promotion of contemporary art and socially responsible cultural integration. The zone collaborates with a series of renowned and established domestic and international artists. It classifies its activities in multimedia art and cooperates with national and international institutions in the field of contemporary art. He understands the promotion of art in a distinctly connecting, educational way in the light of socially responsible and sustainable projects.

An arts production and publishing institute, Sploh Institute focuses on music, performing arts and intermedia arts production, publishing and education. It is primarily oriented on developing, staging, establishing and reflecting musical practices that dip a toe in the waters of: - improvisation, i.e. breaking free from pre-conceived forms, syntaxes, rhythms and sound spectrums; - historically conscious yet unconventional contemporary composition that is daring and open to various genres and technological development; - sound and technological experiments which include diverse playing techniques, new compositional procedures and working with new technological interfaces in creating music.
