RotorMotor is a duo operating on the axis Ljubljana-Maribor, driving along the motorway of nu-disco, house and indie dance while nodding to 80s and 90s synth-driven music. Luka Lah (Levanael) and Nejc Pucko tend to spice up their retro expression with guest vocals, a guarantee for big hits. These are often provided by Lah's colleague Dacho from the band Matter, though the third member Tunja also occasionally jumps on the mic. Last year, they released three EPs: the self-released Skozi čas, Istra EP for the Belgian label KADETT MUSIK and Ouroboros EP for the Swedish label Club Mackan. As members of the Nikola collective, they are notorious for their carefree DJ sets, which in 2022 left a mark on the local scene..

The Slovenian Radio and Television Big Band (RTV Slovenia Big Band) has existed continuously since 1945 and prides itself on being among the oldest orchestras of its kind worldwide. Its beginnings and first successes can largely be attributed to Bojan Adamič (1912 – 1995), a conductor and composer who led his own orchestra as early as during World War II. Today the band is rejuvenated – the average age of its members is just over 30. Most have studied at various jazz academies abroad and each of them masters their instrument with virtuoso skill.

Rush to Relax is a solo project that developed after a bunch of failed bands. Damjan Manevski music, deeply rooted in a DIY mindset and under heavy influence of the global rock’n’roll heritage, brings the warmth and intimacy of home-recorded music. The project’s debut cassette was released in early September 2019 by Ljubljana’s very own Look Back And Laugh label and was followed by two regional mini-tours. His stripped-down and energetic performances that include only an electric guitar, vocals and some pre-recorded material, are a beautiful example of DIY creativity. There’s no point if you only rush to relax.
