Samo Kutin is known for his use of unconventional instruments, be it instruments that have already disappeared from everyday use or sound-making contraptions that feature strings, wood, pumpkins, stone, glass and waste material. One of the traditional instruments in his repertoire is the Hungarian medieval stringed instrument hurdy gurdy, which he plays at experimental and improvised music events. He conducts children's workshops, creates music for storytelling and theatre performances and is member of several ensembles, including Samo Gromofon, Salamandra salamandra, Najoua, Horda grdih and Širom.

Guitar player Samo Šalamon (1978), whose illustrious teachers include John Scofield, has built a distinguished international career. In 2008, Šalamon was selected as one of the world’s ten hottest new guitarists by the Guitar Player magazine. Three of his albums, Ela’s Dream (Splasc(h), 2005), Government Cheese (Fresh Sound New Talent, 2006) and Ornethology (Samo Records, 2003), were given the highest rating (four stars) by The Penguin Guide to Jazz, a reference work containing a directory of jazz recordings, while Ornethology have been included in The Penguin Jazz Guide: The History of the Music in the 1001 Best Albums.

Samo Vovk is active as a musician, singer, arranger, producer, guitarist, and pianist. He started to practice singing more seriously during his student years, when he entered the world of a cappella music through the Perpetuum Jazzile choir. He also began to teach himself music arrangement and jazz harmony. He is currently the artistic leader and arranger for the Vokalni band Kreativo a cappella ensemble. As an arranger and composer, he previously also collaborated with other a cappella groups and choirs both at home and abroad. Since 2012, he plays guitar in a duo with his wife, violist Barbara Grahor Vovk.

Samuel Blues & Miha Erich’s stage presence echoes in the piercing rhythms of intertwining chords and slides, accumulating in tonal cries of the accomplished, raw, gentle and vigorous blues-rock harmonica. The musicians have asserted themselves as the most original and talented representatives of Slovenian blues rock. If the harmonica never goes quiet and the percussive foot-stomping, the sounds of a slide guitar and husky singing refuse to stop, you can be sure that it’s none other than the blues duo consisting of Samuel Blues and Miha Erich.

Samuel Lucas interprets music as though each song were his own, or vice-versa, as though he belonged to each song. In his more than 30-year-long music career, he gathered experience on countless Slovenian and European stages.

San Di Ego is a rock band formed at the start of 2013 and comprises four experienced musicians.

The choir Sankofa has been active since 2009. The choir unites singers of African descent with their Slovenian and international counterparts in the celebration of the African choral tradition. ‘Sankofa’” is a metaphorical symbol used by the Akan people of Ghana; it expresses the importance of reaching back to the knowledge gained in the past and connecting it with the present. The choir’s musical output thus features both traditional and modern musical languages

When Sašo Avsenik and his Ensemble embarked on their musical career in 2009 a new chapter was opened in the music of the Avsenik Brothers. After a hiatus of almost twenty years brothers Slavko and Vilko Avsenik again joined forces to write new compositions and arrange several old ones for the Sašo Avsenik Ensemble. Annually, the ensemble gives up to 170 performances at home and abroad. Challenging the traditional belief that the home of folk-pop is primarily the Alpine Region, the ensemble popularised the genre by appearing in Croatia, The Netherlands and Belgium, and ventured across the Atlantic Ocean to Canada. The ensemble’s résumé includes cruise ship gigs.

Sašo Vrabič is a Slovenian painter, musician, and photographer. He received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the Ljubljana Academy of Fine Arts and Design. Between 2001 and 2017 he actively participated in the Perpettum Jazzile choir and other vocal ensembles such as Bassless and Xplozion, mostly as a beatboxer (vocal percussionist).
