The Red Hall is located on the premises of Ljubljana’s Town Hall (locally referred to as Rotovž), which was built in the 15th century and then renovated in the baroque style. The Red Hall primarily hosts classical concerts. Location: Ljubljana

[TriO] 3 musicians – 1 sound Three musicians have come together to create and share with others the beauty of this art. Flute, horn and piano is an unusual ensemble that can express and evoke different moods and emotions – from a subtle, delicate melody to volcanic power. Nikolina Kovač J. (flute), Robert Petrič (horn) and Lovorka Nemeš Dular (piano) are professional musicians who are dedicated towards music production, they commissioned new works and recorded several albums. The trio performs works of classical music and other styles. They attract attention with a dedicated and vivid performance.

Established in 1992, the Trnfest Festival is traditionally presented in August in the courtyard of Ljubljana’s Centre of Slavic Cultures (former KUD France Prešeren Arts and Culture Association).

2018 marked 25 years in the world of electronic music for Uroš Umek, popularly known as DJ Umek. Umek’s audiences nicknamed him ‘Fotr’ (The Father) in honour of his merits as Slovenia’s techno pioneer. Slovenia’s most prominent electronica wizard rapidly rocketed onto the global club scene and today ranks among the world’s top-tier deejays and producers. In 2018, together with the Viberate start-up team, he launched Tonight – the ultimate nightlife guide application that achieved top ratings and huge popularity among users on the very first day. Events associated with Umek include Astrodisco nights at Ljubljana’s K4 Club, Žur z razlogom, Dan elektronike and Disconautica. He has been repeatedly included in the TOP 100 DJs and producers list of DJ Mag, a leading magazine dedicated to electronic dance music.
