Both public and intimate one-week songwriting event, the Sub-cultural Couch Festival takes places in the beginning of February in various living rooms of Ljubljana and at other concert venues across Slovenia.

The event was established in 1994 with the intention of completely reinvigorating the cultural image of Slovenian old town centres, squares, religious buildings, castles, museums, and other built heritage with live cultural events.
