A native of Slovenian Prlekija region, singer-songwriter Vesenjak writes and sings in his local dialect. He has repeatedly won awards at the KantFest International singer-songwriter festival and contest.

Tadeja Vulc

Artist

Driven by a deep desire for creating, composer Tadeja Vulc studied composition at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana under Assoc. Prof. Uroš Rojko and furthered her studies in composition at the University of Music in Vienna with composer Michael Jarrell. Since 1995, Tadeja Vulc has been devoting her time to choral conducting. She has conducted many different choirs and ensembles in various projects throughout the country and abroad, and received numerous awards in recognition of choral performance and repertoire selection.

Tadiman

Tadiman (Tadej Tratnik) is a pioneering Slovenian reggae singer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist with over 25 years of activity. He rose to prominence as the frontman of Siti hlapci, hosted the reggae radio show Jah-meka-man, and later performed with Italy’s Makako Jump and Ufoslavians. In 2021, he released his solo debut Soljahs of Love. Tadiman has played major European festivals and collaborated with renowned international reggae artists.

Tanja Vogrin

Mezzosoprano and harpist Tanja Vogrin’s main focus of interest is the exploration of early vocal techniques and historically informed performance. Noted for accompanying herself on the harp, Tanja Vogrin is a founding member of the Concerto di Margherita, an ensemble whose focus lies in reviving self-accompaniment. She gives regular concerts throughout Europe as a soloist or with different ensembles and inspires young musicians at home and abroad as a knowledgeable teacher.

Tartini Festival

An international summer chamber music event, the Tartini Festival is dedicated to the Piran-born composer Giuseppe Tartini. In addition to presenting Tartini’s music, the festival also features great international and Slovenian composers and works by contemporary artists who draw inspiration from Tartini’s art.

The house is the seat of the Italian community in Slovenia and is used as a venue for cultural projects, exhibitions and various arts workshops. Occupying the first floor, Tartini’s memorial room displays the artist’s personal belongings bequeathed to the Tartini family. Location: Piran

Tartini String Quartet

Initially as the String quartet of the Slovenian Philharmonic in 1983, the Tartini String Quartet has managed to create a convincing and fresh approach to performance and bold programming. It complements its “standard” concert programme with the creative opus of lesser-known composers and performs string quartets by local composers of chamber music.
