Hei’An is a Grammy-considered metal band from Slovenia, blending elements from a variety of different genres and subgenres in their music. Helena Fojkar Zupančič

Artist

Helena Fojkar Zupančič holds degrees in solo singing and musical pedagogy. She conducts the choir and teaches vocal technique at the Diocesan Classical Gymnasium in Ljubljana. In her work with choirs, she pays particular attention to shaping a healthy, homogenous, and beautiful choir sound and focuses on achieving cogent stage performances. She leads St Nicholas Choir Litija and St. Stanislaus Girls' Choir Ljubljana, both of which regularly tour Europe and win first places and various special awards. She won best conductor at several competitions. She leads seminars in vocal technique, choir singing, and conducting and is a widely respected panellist at state and international competitions.

Hellcats

It all began in 2006, when Hellcats finally performed in front of the Ljubljana audiences after two years of recruiting personnel, writing lyrics and arranging songs. This landmark concert was the foundation stone for all female heavy metal bands in Slovenia. Hellcats were formed by sisters Saša and Sonja Zagorc, the band’s lyricists and composers.

Help! A Beatles Tribute

HELP! A Beatles Tribute is a Slovenian-American tribute band formed in 2012 in Slovenia. The group is led by Ernie Mendillo (former member of The Brandos), with members Žiga Stanonik, Anže Semrov, and Alen Kovše. They perform more than 60 classic Beatles songs, dressed in authentic costumes and using original instruments. They tour across Europe (over 19 countries) and have performed at major festivals and iconic venues.

Hexenbrutal

Hexenbrutal is a noise/industrial duo from Prekmurje, active since 2004. The band consists of Matej Kolmanko (My Secret Grind Project) and Iztok Koren (ŠKM banda, Širom). Their work combines elements of industrial noise, hardcore, doom, and sludge metal. In 2006, they performed as part of Radio Študent’s Club Marathon, and have since played regularly in Slovenia and abroad. They are known for their intense and energetic live performances, often marked by improvisation and experimentation.

Hiša Mladih Youth Culture Centre Ajdovščina

In January 2009, Hiša mladih Youth Centre was established as an internal organizational unit of the Ajdovščina Sports Institute. Responding to the wishes of the young people who recognised the cultural vigour of the youth centre’s programmes and projects and their potential for the establishment and ongoing maintenance of a meeting place that would foster creativity and connect the local youngsters, the venue was officially repurposed as Hiša mladih Youth Culture Centre Ajdovščina in 2017.
