Koala Voice

The four-member Koala Voice was formed in 2010. Sporting a mixture of rock, pop, disco and punk, the band perform extensively both at home and abroad, with appearances ranging from Russia and Liverpool to The Netherlands, from Germany, Bratislava and Budapest to Skopje. The British magazine DIY hailed them as one of the five biggest discoveries of the 2016 Eurosonic Noordeslag music showcase.

Kokosy

Artist

Kokosy is a Slovenian music band formed in 2016, consisting of Boris Kokalj, Martin Drobnič, Anže Lajevec, and Izidor Valič. Their music is genre-diverse, as they experiment with different styles rather than sticking to one. In 2019, they released the album Hude bejbe na dopustu, featuring songs like Gloria, Ranjena, and Leya. Their lyrics often tell stories reflecting the experiences and emotions of the younger generation. Known for their energetic live performances and innovative visuals, Kokosy continue to make an impact on the Slovenian music scene.

Kolnkišta Youth and Cultural Centre

After a seven-year hiatus, the renovated Kolnkišta (Coal Bunker) was re-opened in October 2012. In its golden days, the place was hugely popular among young people as Ptuj’s top venue and soon after its establishment acquired the reputation of an unforgettable 'Bunker' for entertainment and great concerts. Today, the venue hosts both prominent and emerging Slovenian and international musicians. Location: Ptuj

Kontradikshn

Artist

The Kontradikshn Trio aptly combines the incompatible and attracts even those who are less often on the dance floor to a hypnotic dance. The band's fusion of broken rhythms, synth punk, modern electronica and more has been described by Sigic as a meeting of The Prodigy, Laibach and The Chemical Brothers. Rockline, meanwhile, praises the band's ability to stay one step ahead of the times, and the band is also singing its praises in the countries of the former Yugoslavia, where Kontradikshn has been performing since its very beginnings - including winning 2nd prize out of a field of 400 competitors at the region's biggest festival for new bands, Demofest in Banja Luka in 2013.

Kosovel House of Culture Sežana is an arts centre primarily focused on presenting cultural events. Kotlovnica Youth Centre Kamnik

Venue

The largest youth organisation in the Municipality of Kamnik, Kotlovnica plays a significant part in young people’s leisure time. The centre’s broader perspective is to increase involvement of young people and youth work in the community. Considering that entertainment and social events occupy an important role in young people’s lives, the centre presents a wide variety of festivals, concerts and poetry evenings. Location: Kamnik

Kramp Fest Godovič

An annual one-day festival of alternative music, Kramp Fest takes place in May on the outskirts of the village of Godovič.

Kristina Ray

Artist

Kristina Ray, who currently lives in Paris, previously lived, studied and performed in New York for four years after graduating from Codarts University of the Arts in Rotterdam. She studied music in New York and collaborated with musical legends such as Barry Harris, who is one of the most famous jazz educators of the last 30 years and who also worked and created with saxophonist Cannonball Adderley, Dexter Gordon and Thelonious Monk. With him and his choir, Kristina also performed two years in a row at the eminent jazz club Village Vanguard, where Miles Davis, Anita O'Day, Horace Silver, Charles Mingues and Bill Evans, among many other jazz musicians, also performed in the golden age. In November 2018, Kristina released her debut, a music album called 'Desert Rose', which she recorded with American musicians; clarinetist Adam Price, bassist Jack Synoski, pianist Matt Asti and drummer Spencer Inch.
