Bad Lori

Bad Lori is a Slovenian dark pop duo featuring vocalist Alenja Pivko Kneževič and producer Simon Penšek. Based in Ljubljana, they blend eerie vocals, powerful guitar riffs, and deep bass lines. Originally known as Bombyx Lori, they rebranded as their sound evolved. Their 2023 single Apocalypse introduced a dystopian theme, followed by Zvezde. Both classically trained musicians, they also compose for films, crafting a haunting and cinematic musical style.

Bakalina

Taking its name from an old term for a clay vessel, the Bakalina Duo consists of singer Jani Kutin and accordionist Renata Lapanja. Both musicians originate from the hills surrounding the town of Tolmin and address their audiences in the local dialect. This native language not only permeates their music, but is also embedded in its innermost core. Standard words do not come close to capturing the essence of their sound.

Bar Gabrijel

Venue

Bar pr` Gabrijelu has been a culture and music venue since it opened in 1995. It was established to address the general shortage of concert life in the region and provide a suitable music venue in Cerkno. In addition to hosting concerts, the Bar broadened its repertoire to include organising festivals soon after its establishment. Today’s Jazz Cerkno and Keltika festivals are the direct legacies of the venue’s first organising efforts. Location: Cerkno
