Ana Kravanja is a member of the group Širom, in which she plays many ethnic and classical instruments as well as new unique handmade instruments. She authors music for theatre productions, movies, animated movies, storytelling performances, poetry recitals, and dance and audio-visual performances. She is the founder of the project Glacies, which uses refrigerator shelves as instruments. Between 2012 and 2016, she created music for 14 calimbas together with Samo Kutin in the duo called Najoua. Her instrument of choice is the violin, on which she has improvised together with several Slovenian and international musicians, dancers and visual artists such as Samo Kutin, Tomaž Grom, Irena Tomažin, Vid & Jošt Drašler, Andrej Fon, Tijana Stanković, Noid, Matija Schellander, Aleksandar Škorić, Henrik Olsson, Susanna Gartmayer, Raphael Roginski, Ryuzo Fukuhara and Lotus Edde Khouri.

Ana Novak is a songwriter & violinist from Slovenia, creating mostly acoustic world music inspired by life, nature, fairytales,... She also writes music for theatres, teaches violin and is a permanent member of Slovenian group Noreia.

The Ana Pupedan group performs regularly at concert venues in Slovenia and abroad and has also engaged their talent in theatre, film and animated film. The band’s musical output features authored music, which is a skillful mix of different music genres and elements of rock, punk, jazz, blues, reggae and hippie.

Andraž Golob discovered the clarinet through a klezmer CD of his father’s and immediately fell in love with its sound. When he had to choose which instrument to learn, it was an easy decision. After starting at the music school in his home town of Celje in Slovenia, he studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz under Gerald Pachinger and Bertram Egger. He also attended master classes, including with Mathias Schorn, Andreas Schablas, Johann Hindler and Kilian Herold. His fascination with the orchestral repertoire and the experience of making music together with others confirmed his decision to become an orchestral musician. A winner of multiple prizes in international competitions, Andraž Golob gained his first orchestral experience as a freelancer with the Grazer Philharmonisches Orchester, the Nürnberger Symphoniker and the Vienna State Opera. He was as a member of both the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester and the academy of the Vienna Philharmonic.

In 2010, Andrej Kobal obtained the title of producer of electronic music at the SAE Institute, and in 2013 he completed a masterclass in electronic music at the Vivaldi Institute in Italy. He deals with original music, sound design for film and theater, sound installations and development of virtual instruments at Max MSP. His virtual instruments seqMPEror and GranuRise have achieved tremendous international success. His work spans many fields of music production; among them are original compositions, sound design and compositions for film music and theater, sound installation design and design of custom-made electronic virtual instruments.

Composer and choirmaster Andrej Makor belongs to the younger generation of Slovenian composers. Makor has also made a name for himself as a solo singer and music teacher. Recently, he has enjoyed great success as a choral conductor.

Andrej Šifrer is a foremost Slovenian singer-songwriter who has enjoyed tremendous commercial success. He embarked on his musical career in the late 1970s. Many of his songs have spread among the people and became part of the national folk song repertoire, several of them being accepted as canonical in their genre.

The Slovenian clarinetist, conductor and professor works as a full professor of clarinet at the Academy of Music at the University of Ljubljana and as a professor of clarinet and conductor of the Wind Orchestra at the Ljubljana Conservatory of Music and Ballet. He has recorded 22 CDs and co-authored the monograph “Clarinet”. He collaborates with many musicians and ensembles in several genres of music. He performs concerts around the world.

Horn player Andrej Žust is noted for being among the handful of Slovenian musicians who have joined some of world’s most prestigious orchestras. Žust’s dreams were fulfilled when he passed the auditions with the Berlin Philharmonic, an orchestra that has collaborated with some of the most prominent classical music figures.
