Open call for the Eastern European Music Academy 2025

Music Export Ukraine has announced an open call for the next edition of the Eastern European Music Academy (EEMA), an intensive 12-week program designed to strengthen the music business landscape across Eastern Europe.

Running from September 4 to November 27, 2025, EEMA will bring together 60 emerging and established music professionals from Czechia, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, and Ukraine for a deep dive into the mechanics of today’s global music industry.

Since its launch in 2020, EEMA has become a standout initiative in the region, connecting 280 participants from 15 countries, more than 20 international experts, and organizing delegations to key industry events in Romania, Germany, Slovenia, and Greece.

This year’s program offers:

  • 12 weeks of online learning led by top industry experts from the UK and EU

  • Comprehensive training on promotion, distribution, copyright, sync licensing, grants, and international booking

  • A vibrant peer learning community, fostering cross-border collaboration and new creative opportunities

A major highlight: the top 10 participants will receive a fully funded trip to Eurosonic Noorderslag (ESNS) 2026 in the Netherlands, one of Europe’s premier music showcase festivals and industry gatherings.

The participation fee is €150, with several scholarships available to ensure accessibility.
