EMEE Resource centre

Are you interested in learning how to export your music? Do you know what a music export office is and how various export offices across Europe operate? You came to the right place.

EMEE is a non-profit association made up of 33 national and regional Music Export offices from 28 countries, with its registered office based in Brussels. They pull together a mix of public and private funding to support European musicians, music companies and music professionals in their export strategies.

The European Music Export resource centre is a hub for information, insights and tools for artists, professionals and music companies to help them develop music export strategies and take European music to global audiences.

At the resource center, you’ll find a variety of tools and resources to help build your general export knowledge—from the basics, such as understanding the structure of the music industry, to becoming ‘export ready.’ You can also explore insights into different music markets (for example, do you know what the Austrian or Slovenian music landscape looks like?) and access reports focused on various aspects of export, including the activities of music export organizations.

Music export offices help artists, managers and promoters to find support for their export activities. They are important drivers of diversity for the national music industries and have therefore been established in many countries. Gigmit has already presented a list of music export offices in Europe, but there are also many national and regional initiatives that you should know in other continents. In the following list you can find all music export initatives outside of Europe.
