Open Call for European Artists to Showcase at ESNS 2027
Applications are now open for European artists wishing to perform at ESNS (Eurosonic Noorderslag) — Europe’s leading platform for emerging music talent. Artists can submit their applications via ESNS.nl until 1 September 2026.
From 13 to 16 January 2027, the Dutch city of Groningen will
once again host one of Europe’s most important music gatherings, ESNS, welcoming
around 40,000 music fans and professionals for four days dedicated to
discovering new European talent.
During the daytime, approximately 4,000 music industry
professionals will attend the ESNS Conference, where key figures from
across the European music sector meet to exchange ideas, discuss current
trends, and develop new international opportunities for artists. In the
evenings, audiences move between dozens of stages across the city, discovering
the next generation of European performers.
ESNS invites artists from across Europe to apply for a
showcase performance. The festival traditionally presents a broad and
geographically balanced programme, featuring acts from throughout the
continent. Eligible artists must hold a passport from one of the participating
European countries, as the showcase programme is exclusively dedicated to
European talent.
Artists selected to perform at ESNS are automatically
included in the European Talent Exchange programme, significantly
increasing their chances of being booked at major international festivals such
as Sziget, Dour, Ypsigrock, Coachella, Colours of Ostrava, The Great Escape,
MENT Ljubljana, Electric Castle, Primavera Sound, and Best Kept Secret.
In addition to the music programme, ESNS will later this
year launch an open call for contributions to the ESNS Conference, welcoming
proposals for panels, keynote talks, workshops, and other professional
programme formats.
A limited number of ESNS27 Delegate Passes are
currently available at an Early Bird rate, after which passes will continue to
be sold at the Medium rate.
