Open Call: ECHOES invites European artists to co-create an eco-focused album and international tour
Artists from Slovenia and across Creative Europe countries are invited to apply for the ECHOES – Eco-Soundscapes Open Call, a new international opportunity at the intersection of music, sound, ecology, and sustainability.
Part of the ECHOES – European Concert Halls Offering Eco-Solutions project, co-funded by the European Union through the Creative Europe program, the open call will select five emerging and mid-career artists to take part in an international co-creation process focused on soundscape ecology, environmental listening, and sustainable artistic practice.
The selected artists will collaborate on the creation of the Eco-Soundscapes Album and join an international tour in 2027. The program includes residencies, rehearsals, and collaborative development sessions, offering participants the chance to work across borders with fellow artists and partner organizations from Romania, Greece, Norway, and Ukraine.
The call is open to artists legally residing in Creative Europe participating countries, including Slovenia. According to the organizers, they are particularly interested in artists working across music, sound art, electroacoustic, experimental, electronic, neoclassical, and interdisciplinary practices, especially those with an interest in environmental sound, field recordings, and collaborative creation.
All travel and recording expenses are covered, and each selected artist will receive a participation fee of €1,000. There is no application fee.
For artists based in Slovenia whose work engages with listening, environment, sonic experimentation, and new collaborative formats, this is a strong international opportunity worth exploring.
