The start of Warner Music Balkans

Warner Music South East Europe (WM SEE) has announced its latest venture with the launch of WM Balkans. The JV is the result of cooperation between WM SEE, the Croatian label Dancing Bear, the Serbian label Mascom and the Slovenian label NIKA.

Izabela Ciszek-Podziemska (general director of WM SEE): "Warner Music Balkans is the result of the team's long-term efforts to cooperate with the best partners in the region over the past few years. Combining our joint ventures and investments under one label will benefit everyone involved and allow our artists to get the best of the Warner Music global network. With talents like Edita, Sergej Pajić and Ukić releasing music on the label, we have a great summer festival season ahead of us!"

WM Balkans will sign and help develop artists primarily from Croatia, Serbia and Slovenia, but also from other Western Balkan countries such as Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and North Macedonia, and connect them to the wider Warner Music network.

The song "Rio Rio" by Sergej Pajić and Edita was recently released by WM Balkans. Sergej Paijić is an influencer with over 1.1 million followers on TikTok and 500,000 on Instagram, who has already achieved great success with his music in Croatia, Serbia and Slovenia thanks to Dancing Bear and other partners behind WM Balkans. Edita Aradinović is a Serbian pop singer and songwriter with over 200,000 followers on TikTok and 600,000 on Instagram. "Rio Rio" is their first collaboration and already generated over a million views on YouTube in its first week of release.

Darjo Rot, co-founder of NIKA: "We have been working with Warner Music for almost thirty years and the launch of WM Balkans is the next chapter in our partnership. Together with the other JV partners and their artists, we will really be able to take each other into new genres and regions.”
