Currently, the global music sector is in the midst of a major transformation. New (digital) business models and tools have arisen in recent years, raising new questions in the legal, marketing and technical fields.

Cross-border cooperation especially in the EU is intensifying, requiring in-depth knowledge of national specifics and international networks. Moreover, the economic struggles following COVID-19 highlight the importance of innovation, networks and creativity – to overcome crises, to be resilient and to act one step ahead. Additionally, the music sector needs and is willing to play its part in the mitigation of greenhouse gas emissions to tackle climate change.

The programme is aimed at employees from all branches of the music industry, graduates with previous professional experience in media, culture and music management, and independent creative professionals with a close professional connection to the music industry.

The implementation of the European Music Business Training (EMBT) will support the targets for green, digital, just and resilient recovery. Based on advanced training sessions by leading industry experts and the expansion of networks, current trends and developments will be discussed and disseminated. This will not only lead to increased growth and competitiveness of the music sector, its companies and professionals.

It will also support the awareness for and implementation of climate change policies within businesses as well as further support the digitalization of the sector.
