SNG Drama Ljubljana is Slovenia’s main national theatre whose ensemble is the largest, most distinctive and most renowned in the country. Drama’s Sunday concert series – Drama Acoustics – remains faithful to its primary aim of presenting outstanding contributions to Slovenian music, whilst occasionally featuring international artists. Snøgg is an experimental black metal band from Velenje, Slovenia, founded in 2013. They describe their music as freeride black metal, as they do not set boundaries in exploring the vast landscape of black metal sound and other neighbouring extreme and alternative genres. In addition to the Slovenian stages, they have toured southern and western Europe five times, visiting countries such as the Czech Republic, Croatia, Hungary, Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria and Greece. They have also played at events and festivals in Germany and the Netherlands.

A one-day festival of Slovenian jazz creativity, Snowdrops and Primroses was launched in 2015 by the cultural centre Cankarjev dom .

The four-member group Sober Assault from Grosuplje, established in 2013, performs thrash and death metal. They describe their music as a brutal combination of melody and aggression.

The Soboški dnevi Festival (Sobota Days) is held by the Municipality of Murska Sobota in late June. The city centre provides the venue for concerts by famous Slovenian and international music figures.

SAZAS Society k.o. is a collective management organisation for the protection and promotion of musical authors' rights in Slovenia. SAZAS connects authors' creativeness with publics – music users, collects royalties for the public use of music within the territory of the Republic of Slovenia, distributes the collected royalties to authors or right holders and promotes authors creativeness in music. SAZAS works for the best benefit of all stakeholders: (1) composers, authors and right holders; (2) music users (3) society.

The Society of Slovene Composers (DSS) is a voluntary professional association of composers and musicologists. the Society started out by organising public performances, but in 1954 widened its field of activity by including a publishing section (Edicije DSS) and establishing contacts with other European publishing houses.

A gaze through the gothic portal of a medieval bourgeois house in the historic town centre of Škofja Loka reveals the renovated building of the Sokolski dom (Sokol House), whose modern facilities play host to a broad array of cultural productions, including music concerts.
