Delavski dom Trbovlje Cultural Centre

Venue

Delavski dom Trbovlje (Workers’ Home Culture Institute) was built in 1956. Known for its facade mosaic by sculptor Marij Pregelj, the building features a large theatre hall, a cinema and some small-sized spaces. In addition to hosting theatre performances and film screenings, Delavski dom Cultural Centre provides the venue for numerous exhibitions, concerts and other cultural events throughout the season. Recently, Delavski dom Trbovlje has achieved worldwide recognition as a setting for new media art. Location: Trbovlje

Delavski dom Zagorje Cultural Centre

The idea to build Delavski dom (Workers’ Home Culture Institute) was proposed in 1951 by the Cultural Society Vesna. The following year, architect Emil Navinšek drew up the plans for the building that opened in 1960. Delavski dom, a historic building whose original architectural design has remained intact, provides the conditions for the house of culture to accomplish its mission of a major cultural and social institution. Denis Beganović is a Slovenian trombonist, composer, and arranger known for his contributions to jazz and classical music. He has collaborated with various musical ensembles and orchestras and released the album Senses in 2020, followed by Nuances in 2024. In addition, he is recognized for his live performances and collaborations with musicians both domestically and internationally.

Die Alpenoberkrainer

Die Alpenoberkrainer (Slovenian: Alpski kvintet) was founded in 1966 in Kranj, where the quintet gave their first public concert. Shortly afterwards the ensemble received their first invitation to appear abroad, in the French region of Alsace. To date, the ensemble’s records have sold more than one million copies. In 1996, Die Alpenoberkrainer officially disbanded as a professional music band at a gala concert in Mengeš and currently appear unofficially.
