Fake Orchestra was established in 1997 by guitarist, theatre and film music composer, a TV show co-host and music producer Igor Leonardi. Blending different music genres, Fake Orchestra’s special take on old Slovenian folk songs handed down by our forefathers – which come to life in vivid and variegated contemporary arrangements – enthrals both young and old. Their sound is a delightful fusion of jazz, traditional and other music elements, flowing together smoothly in catchy tunes. Strands of Italian pop songs, Brazilian samba and Bosnian sevdalinka songs blend with echoes of jazz standards, African rhythms and the energy of rock and funk.
