The band Grooveland focuses on soul, funk, pop and jazz.

Grounded is a festival of electronic music, critical thinking and activism, that addresses current social issues by combining the seemingly incompatible: deinstitutionalised theoretical debates, everyday social activism and progressive electronic club culture. The first edition of the festival was held in 2015 with the theme Autonomy of migration. Theme in 2018 was Intimacy in the age of artificial intelligence, in 2019 Automation and Power, in 2020 Truth, in 2021 The State, in 2022 Responsibility, in 2023 Peace and in 2024 Racism.

Passionate ornithologists Nejc and Luka named the group after one of the characteristic bird species of the Balkan Peninsula, which, like the traditional music of this region, is slowly dying out. The five young musicians draw their motives and songs mainly from the rich heritage of Slovenian and Balkan traditional music. They aim to perform their compositions in as primitive a way as possible, with added elements of their personal styles. Their basic starting points are various traditional tunes, dances and solos typical of traditional and Roma artists, though sometimes they also employ tropes from the world of jazz.

The society was founded in 2001. The main goals of the society are to promote the development of Slovenian guitar pedagogy and creativity and their establishment in the world, to improve the professional education of guitar teachers, and thus the quality of teaching, to critically acquaint the public with this field of artistic creativity and raise musical awareness.

Active since 2015, Ljubljana-based Haiku Garden perform shoegazing/neo-psychedelic music in English. Their 2018 album was voted National Record of the Year by the Mladina weekly and ranked second on the list of best albums from the former Yugoslav countries on the influential Muzika.hr portal.

Primarily a sports arena, Hala Tivoli also provides a venue for big concerts. It includes a small and a large hall. Location: Ljubljana

A three-day electronic dance music festival, the Halamoye Dance Festival is held in the idyllic setting of Tolmin’s Sotočje, a venue at the confluence of two rivers. Launched in 2016, the festival’s name derives from the local dialect and originally means lush vegetation, thus vividly describing the festival venue.

The original five members of Tribute 2 Love led by Matevž Šalehar Hama first came together in 2006. Today, the group Hamo & Tribute 2 Love performs classical rock, blues and funk music.
