The annual Zmaj 'ma mlade (The Dragon Has Youngsters) summer cultural festival takes place each August in Postojna. The event is organised by the Postojna Youth Centre’s Association of Societies and sponsored by the Municipality of Postojna and the local Student Club. A collage of events, the festival’s variegated programme importantly complements the city of Postojna’s summer cultural life.

Fête de la musique - Music Day

In 2011, Slovenia joined the international initiative Fête de la musique, also known as Music Day: an annual music celebration that takes place on 21 June in more than 400 cities and 120 countries across the world. The music festival, organised in Slovenia under the aegis of SIGIC – Slovenian Music Information Centre, promotes the importance of live music performances and making all genres of music accessible to the public.

Figa Rock Bar

Rock bar in Koper at Vanganelska street 10. Figa Rock bar is a bar dedicated to live music, especially good original music. On stage they host high-quality, well-established domestic and foreign music groups, but at the same time they also give young, unknown bands a chance. The local total area of ​​130 square meters accommodates about 100 visitors.

Flows Festival is an annual boutique music festival held in June on Ugljan Island, Croatia, organized by a Slovenian team. The festival emphasizes sustainability, community, and artistic expression, featuring live performances, DJ sets, and creative workshops in a relaxed island setting.

Franc Bernik Culture House Domžale

The Domžale Culture House traces its history back over one hundred years, to the former Community Centre dating from 1910 that hosted a large number of stage plays. Domžale Music School was established on the premises of the Community Centre in 1950 and assumed ownership of the building two and a half decades later. Over time, the centre fell into decay, and the music school moved out of the dilapidated building. The opening ceremony of the renovated venue, renamed Franc Bernik Culture House, took place on 6 February 1998. The building houses Music School Domžale and the Public Institution Franc Bernik Culture House Domžale. The Culture House bears the name of Domžale-based priest, writer, composer and the local chronicler, Franc Bernik (1870–1948). Location: Domžale

Fraw Blanka

Artist

As a contemporary dancer, choreographer and music performer, Kaja Janjić began her professional career in 2006. Her work ranges from dance to theatre, cabaret, children’s performances and music. In 2015, she began her music venture under the pseudonym Fraw Blanka when she became a member of the hip-hop/dub trio Šlagwerk. Later, she joined the local independent label Munje Records, and in 2022 she released her debut solo album “Stranski učinki”, which was produced by MC/producer Sajkoslav. Blanka’s raw and energetic performance is backed up by Sajkoslav on the-ones-and-twos.

freekind. is a story written by pianist and vocalist Sara Ester Gredelj and drummer Nina Korošak Serčič. The very name is evocative of the duo’s life philosophy, which they are sharing with the world through their music. Freedom, compassion, and profound lyrics are propelled by groove music, a genre stemming from the roots of soul, R&B, and jazz.

Fujita Pinnacle

Fujita Pinnacle made a name for himself on Slovenia’s underground scene by hosting the Štrom event series with the local creative collective Nimaš Izbire. After a few releases on some of the well-known local labels (SNIF, Trite Sound and more), he took on Europe’s alternative broadcasts, playing shows at Radio Operator, Cashmere Radio and Hör Berlin. His production and live performances pay tribute to the old-school rave legacy, while also incorporating unpredictable bits of internet age freshness, always creating explosive dancefloor ordeals to look out for. His DJ sets are full of wide-ranging material from every possible era of old-school dance music, which he smoothly blends with percussively intense variants of contemporary music production.
