Jazzinty is a boutique summer international jazz festival and a musical workshop that has been taking place every year on the third week of August in the historic city center of Novo mesto for seventeen years., Workshops are attended by a range of young, promising musicians coming from all over Europe, the USA and even Russia, Asia and Africa. Evening concerts fill the old city center and create a metropolitan atmosphere with new trends of jazz, improvised music and creative energy. In addition to the lively concert life, workshops are conducted by up to 15 international mentors, world-renowned musicians and pedagogues.

The Bohinj Festival Kanal (Channel Festival) has been bringing music enthusiasts to the lake's edge and the dried out flood channels since 2005. The festival offers a diverse musical experience, ranging from classical to more popular genres of music.

KantFest, ki od leta 2003 poteka v ruškem Domu kulture, je mednarodni natečaj za avtorsko glasbo in tekst, ki sodi v zvrst kantavtorstva in doslej še ni bila izdana na nosilcih zvoka. V poštev pridejo neizdana in neobjavljena dela, izvedena s klasičnimi kantavtorskimi postopki, kakor tudi drugi glasbeni pristopi (računalnik, posneta glasbena podlaga), ki jih izvedete solo ali največ v dvoje.

The two-day Festival Krawal takes place at an open-air venue in Železniki and offers various genres of noise music, punk, punk crust and metal.

Festival Lakeness, organised since 2014 by the Youth of Renče-Vogrsko Society in the month of August, constitutes the Vipava Valley’s biggest event.

Established in 1993, the international Lent Festival is among the largest open-air festivals in Europe and the most prolific intercultural festival in Slovenia. It starts at the end of June and lasts for a week. Music and dance performances as well as theatre events fill many venues in Maribor, mostly at the riverside area of old Maribor known as Lent, where concerts take place on a floating stage on the water of the Drava river. Each year it presents around 300 diverse cultural performances and events on different stages, including various styles of popular and classical music, rock, ballet, jazz, chanson, folklore, revivalist folk, and busking music.

The Annual Stage Festival Ruše traditionally offers an array of events, ranging from concerts, workshops, art exhibitions, street theatre, culinary and social events to theatre performances.

The Ljubljana Festival offers domestic and international audiences performances by established and prestigious artistic talents. The festival has shaped the cultural landscape of Ljubljana and Slovenia through the years. The Festival now offers annually around 70 to 80 music performances, recitals, opera and ballet productions, as well as musicals and contemporary music concerts, which are visited by about 80.000 culture lovers from all over the world.

Loka da Camera Festival is a series of classical chamber music concerts aimed at connecting local artists with foreign ones.

The history of the Festival Maribor spans almost half a century, mainly focusing on Baroque styles in its beginnings and gradually evolving to include in its repertoire new musical idioms of post-modernism. The festival features acclaimed musicians, chamber and symphonic osrchestras from Slovenia as well as abroad, who perform a thematically focused repertoire of classical music.
