Festival Avsenik, organised in honour of brothers Avsenik, the legendary Oberkreiner music figures, is a three-day festival of folk-pop music taking place every second August in the village of Begunje na Gorenjskem, the birthplace of the brothers Avsenik.

Festival bistr'ških bendov (The Festival of Bistrica bands) takes place at the end of June in the courtyard of the Sokolski dom and features local bands from Ilirska Bistrica and the surrounding area.

The traditional Festival Bled satisfies the tastes of all generations with a wide range of classical and popular music genres.

The Čipkarija Festival, which is a representative project of the Idrija Students' Club (KIŠ) and is held in August, is considered one of the most celebrated popular music festivals in the Municipality of Idrija.

For more than three decades the festival Druga Godba has been introducing less well-known musical styles and traditions, alongside big-name acts on the world and indigenous music scenes, and exploring the intersection between old and new musical styles, as well as the fusion of ethnic and modern musical expressions. A festival based in Ljubljana, takes place in Piran from 2017 onward.

The international Festival Etnika was established in 2005 and brings world music to Maribor's stages.

The jazz and world music Festival Glasbe sveta (Music of the World), which takes place in Nova Gorica, focuses on transferring ancestral musical knowledge to younger generations.

Godibodi is a festival of contemporary, authored and ethnic music, which is organized in Ljubljana and other places (MB, KR, KP, Ptuj, Bohinj…) by the Godibodi Institute together with the record label Celinka in the late spring since 2008.
